Governments today face an ever-increasing demand
for 24x7 service from citizens and businesses worldwide.
People have become accustomed to functioning in the
always-on world of the Net, and governments are pressured
to deliver the same access.
Accenture, a $10 billion global management and technology
consulting organization, has teamed with other industry
leaders to address this need. The Accenture eGovernment
Accelerator is an innovative service that enables
government agencies to quickly and efficiently move
their business transactions online - with no interruption
of service.
Texcel Systems helps Accenture achieve this vision.
The Accenture eGovernment Accelerator has been integrated
with Texcel's FormBridge® product to jumpstart the
migration to online government transactions by converting
existing forms to automated electronic forms.
"Many government business transactions use forms," said Iain Lopata, partner at Accenture. "One of the many strengths of the Accenture eGovernment Accelerator is that it provides the ability to move these forms online. FormBridge saves design and development time so electronic government services can be delivered more quickly at lower cost. We are pleased to team with Texcel to bring the benefits of eBusiness to governments worldwide."
Microsoft® showcased the Accenture eGovernment Accelerator
at its fourth annual Government Leaders' Conference
in Seattle, attended by 400 government leaders from
80 countries on March 26-28, 2001. Bill Gates' keynote
address featured a demonstration using Texcel's FormBridge
to convert a government form to JetForm's FormFlow®
99, illustrating an innovative solution to deliver
on the promise of online government.
