Texcel Systems Introduces FormBridge® for Accurate Conversion of Forms to Microsoft® Office InfoPath™ 2003

Texcel® FormBridge automates the conversion from PDF and other formats to InfoPath

Wayland, MA - October 21, 2003 -- Texcel Systems announced today a new version of FormBridge, the company's electronic forms translator, for users of InfoPath 2003, Microsoft's electronic forms application and the latest addition to its Office suite. FormBridge can quickly convert forms from virtually any source into fully editable and fillable InfoPath XML forms. Texcel is collaborating with Microsoft to market the solution to organizations who want a quick and easy way to accurately translate existing PDF, Microsoft Word, and other forms to InfoPath electronic forms.

"Microsoft Office InfoPath is a powerful program that enables the creation of rich, dynamic forms for gathering information," said Jacob Jaffe, InfoPath Group Product Manager. "Many organizations, including government agencies and financial institutions have large numbers of existing forms. FormBridge enables these organizations to quickly deploy and maximize the benefits of dynamic electronic forms and customer-defined XML by converting these forms to InfoPath."

FormBridge converts forms from a wide host of sources including: PDF, Microsoft Word, QuarkXPress, PageMaker, WordPerfect, JetForm, FormFlow, and paper. FormBridge preserves the exact appearance of the original forms for display and printing. It automatically creates fields, even when the original forms have none. Enhanced conversion from fillable PDF and other applications preserves the original fields and their properties in the InfoPath forms. A batch mode saves additional time on large projects.

"FormBridge is the essential companion product for all InfoPath customers," said Steve Myerow, president of Texcel Systems. "Many companies have thousands of forms. FormBridge can convert these forms to automated InfoPath forms, maintaining display and print fidelity, and saving hours on each form. It requires no specialized forms design expertise to use. FormBridge is the fastest and most accurate way to convert your forms to InfoPath."

FormBridge runs on a Windows 2000/XP client. Pricing starts at $495. General availability of FormBridge for InfoPath is November 2003.
